I began my career as a medical writer nearly two decades ago, and throughout my journey, I’ve seen just how powerful clear, ethical communication can be in improving health outcomes. I’ve written for hospitals, universities, pharmaceutical companies, government organisations and health brands, covering topics from chronic disease and cancer care to mental health, nutrition and clinical trials.

In 2013, I founded Health Writer Hub, an online education platform for health and medical writers. Since then, I’ve taught thousands of professionals in more than 50 countries through CPD-certified courses focused on high-quality, ethical health communication.

As the pace of change in healthcare accelerates, I’ve become increasingly focused on the role of technology – particularly AI – and how it’s reshaping the way health professionals work, communicate and deliver care.

Like many professionals, I had questions when I first started exploring AI. Would it replace our skills? Could it be used responsibly? How do we make sense of the hype while protecting quality and integrity in our work?

I created Health AI CPD to help answer those questions – for myself, and for others.
